Responsibilities: The applicant will teach twelve credit hours per semester in both introductoryand upper-level English and journalism. The teaching load will include first and second semestercomposition, advanced writing courses, contemporary rhetoric, and potentially screenwriting.The hire will also be expected to serve as advisor for the university’s newspaper (currently printand online), The Exponent. Other expectations include research and scholarly activity, careeradvising, maintaining a strong campus presence, supporting student recruitment and retentionefforts, and other duties as assigned, such as teaching First Year Seminar.
