Maret School is looking for an inspiring and engaging English teacher who reflects Maret's mission and core values. Maret seeks candidates who are lifelong learners and who have experience differentiating instructional strategies, strong communication skills, and a facility and nimbleness with technology.
Candidates must have a demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion in their work. The position includes one or more community responsibilities and is supervised by the chair of the Humanities Department.
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience teaching English, experience teaching history a plus
- Display excellent classroom management skills and enthusiasm for working with Middle School students
- Be committed to professional development and collaboration with colleagues across disciplines
- Exhibit a deep passion for teaching and working with students of all ages and differing strengths
- Master’s degree (preferred)
