Job Description:
The Departments of Rhetoric and Composition and English Language Instruction (ELI), both housed in AUC's Academy of Liberal Arts, invite applications from experienced instructors who are trained to teach first-year composition and English for Academic Purposes (EAP). Teaching may be assigned in either of the two departments based on semester needs, focusing on academic and research writing and English for Academic Purposes (EAP) instruction in listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Successful candidates will be asked to teach up to four days a week. Salary is based on qualifications and professional experience.
Requirements:
-At least three years of teaching experience
-MA TESOL or MA in Applied Linguistics-related field with focus on English teaching
-Preference will be given to candidates with degrees from US universities and experience teaching freshman composition and EAP.
