| General Description | The Department of English invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty member in English as a Second Language for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time, tenure-track faculty position in English as a Second Language presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the exceptional training and pedagogy at the College. Community College of Philadelphia has been offering English as a Second Language (ESL) to students from all over the world for more than 40 years and is fast becoming a number one destination for English Language Learners in the region. The English Department at the Community College of Philadelphia is a professional organization comprising nearly 300 full- and part-time faculty members who teach over 750 sections of courses at the Main Campus and Regional Centers. We provide instruction in developmental reading and writing, English as a second language (ESL), college writing, literature, communication and media studies, theater, and creative writing. We offer Associate of Arts degrees in Communication and Media Studies, English and Theater. |
